Palus Putredinis

Palus Putredinis ( Latin for swamp of putrefaction ) is a composed of solidified lava level on the Earth's moon, the larger Maria similar to that of the emergence ago. It lies on the eastern edge of the Mare Imbrium, and is bounded to the east by the Montes Apenninus. The average diameter of the layer is 161 km. 1971 landed the lunar module of Apollo 15 mission, on the northeastern edge of Palus Putredinis around the Hadley Rille.
