Pamana Island

Pamana ( Ndana, Dana, Dona, ) is an uninhabited, island in the Indonesian archipelago Timor ( Small Sunda ).
Geography
Pamana is located off the southwest tip of the island of Roti. North also is the small island Helihana. As a wildlife reserve Pamana is under special protection. The 14 km ² island is considered the most southern point of Indonesia and thereby Asia. It belongs to the administrative district ( kabupaten ) Red Ndao in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.
Fauna and Flora
In addition to some deer, there are numerous species of birds on Pamana. In addition, sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach.
History
According to local lore the entire population Pamanas was killed in a reprisal action in the 17th century. The small lake on the island said to have been stained red with blood.
