Pampa EnergÃa
The Pampa Energía S. A. ( Sociedad Anonima ) is one of the largest electric utilities in Argentina. The company was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Buenos Aires.
In the power generation segment Pampa is involved with an installed capacity of 2,217 MW, with about 8 % of total electricity supply in Argentina. In the electric power transmission segment Pampa is the largest transmission operator for high voltage in Argentina and maintains a network of about 10,155 km length. The low-voltage supply, with around 6108 km is handled by its subsidiary Transba. To Pampa includes the privatized in 1992 by the Argentine government Edenor.RTM company that supplies the northern metropolitan area of Buenos Aires, with about 2.7 million end-users. 2012 Pampa employed approximately 5,000 employees. The total number of customers is by his own admission 3.6 million end-users.
The Pampa Energia shares are traded on the Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires in Argentina and since October 2009, on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
