Panlongcheng

The Panlongcheng - site (Chinese盘龙 城 遗址, Pinyin Panlongcheng Yizhi, P'an -lung- ch'eng W.-G., English Panlongcheng site (Shang city) ) is a shang Age fortified city in Panlongcheng, Huangpi District, Wuhan 武汉 市, Hubei Province, China, north of the Yangtze River. It was discovered in 1954 and in 1974 and 1976 by archaeologists from the province of Hubei and the Museum of Peking University (Beijing Daxue kaogu Zhuanye ) excavated. The foundations of a large palace, city walls and a grave with the sacrificed slaves were among the finds.

The site is since 1988 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 3-199 ).
