Papilio noblei is a butterfly of the family of Swallowtail Butterfly ( Papilionidae ). Its distribution area is located in Southeast Asia, where it is found from Myanmar to Vietnam.

Features

The moths reach a wingspan of 100 to 120 millimeters. The forewings are dark brown to black. In the lower fifth of the Postdiskalregion is a yellow, triangular area that is steadily wider towards the edge, and continues on the hind wing. The hind wings are also dark brown to black. The yellow area is continued until the mid- Postdiskalregion and forms a triangle as a whole. The outer edge of the hind wings is wavy and has a tail extension. In Analwinkel is a red, indicated eye.

The brown underside of the forewing is very similar to the upside. The veins in the cell are highlighted in yellow. The underside of the hind wings also resembles strongly the top. The basal region is dotted with yellow scales. In the Submarginalregion is located near the outer edge of a row of orange spots.

There is in wing pattern no gender differences, both have the same wing drawings and the same body, the top is black and the bottom dark brown.
