Paproć Duża
Paproć Duża [ paprɔt ͡ɕ duʐa ] ( German Königshuld ) is a village in the municipality of Szumowo at Zambrów in the Podlaskie Voivodeship in northeastern Poland.

Geography
The place is located about 16 km southwest of Zambrów and 75 km west of the capital of the region of the city of Białystok.
History
The town was founded in 1837 by German settlers under the name Königshuld and is star-shaped symmetrical. That all roads run exactly concentric with a large circular plaza in the middle. In the central square in the middle is a Protestant church. In this later Józef Piłsudski Polish dictator married on July 15, 1899 his wife Maria Juszkiewiczowa. Since this was divorced, he stepped in front of the marriage in Paproć Duża in Łomża for Evangelical Lutheran Church. During the First World War, he returned to the Roman Catholic Church.
