Paraguaná Peninsula

Geographical location

The Paraguaná peninsula located in the northeast of the Venezuelan state of Falcón. It is known for its beaches and warm climate with low rainfall. The North Cape Paraguanás, the Cabo de San Román is also the most northerly point of mainland Venezuela.

The Gulf of Coro separates the peninsula from almost from the Venezuelan mainland. The Isthmus of Médanos it connects with the city of Coro. Most important town on the peninsula is Punto Fijo.

The coastal area in the north, the island of Aruba and Curacao in the northeast.
