Paramount Airlines

Paramount Airlines was a helicopter airline from Sierra Leone, established and based in Freetown.

History

Since a crash in 2007, the approval by the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority is revoked. Paramount Airlines was on the list of the operating bans for the airspace of the European Union.

Destinations

Paramount Airlines for operation with their helicopters, a shuttle service between Freetown and Lungi International Airport. For this purpose, among others, the two heliports " Intercity " and " Mammy Yoko " were used in the Aberdeen neighborhood in Freetown. Also flights beginning of the 1990s were carried out, among others, to Abuja in Nigeria.

Incidents

  • On June 3, 2007 crashed for the umpteenth time from a helicopter by Paramount Airlines. This came on the Lungi airport 22 passengers killed, including a high-level sports delegation with the Minister of Sport from Togo.
