Rio Paranaíba

The 1070 km long Rio Paranaíba is the right source of the river Paraná in Brazil ( South America).

The river rises in the west of the state of Minas Gerais in the Serra da Mata da Cordoba. From there, it flows mainly in a westerly direction through several large reservoirs, among which are Emborcação Reservoir, Reservoir Itumbiara and São Simão - reservoir.
