Paraskevi Papachristou

Paraskevi " Voula " Papachristou ( born April 17, 1989 in Athens ) is a Greek triple jumper.

At the Track European Indoor Championships 2009 in Turin they came in at number eight. In 2009 she took at the U-23 European Championships title in the triple jump. In 2011 she was able to repeat this success. At the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki she came in eleventh place.

Papachristou belonged in 2012 to the Greek delegation at the Olympic Summer Games in London. Because of a perceived as offensive commentary about living in Greece African immigrants on Twitter but it was ruled out two days before the opening ceremony of the Greek NOC of the games. Papachristou is the first athlete that was excluded from the Olympic Games due to a Twitter commentary.
