Parchman, Mississippi

Parchman is an unincorporated community in Sunflower County in the U.S. state of Mississippi, in the Mississippi State Penitentiary, also known as Parchman Farm, is located.

The area, which is not assigned to community, encompasses the entire Mississippi State Penitentiary, which has become known as Parchman Farm. The prison grounds was once 81 km ² in size, from which the size of the unincorporated area is explained. Today, the grounds of the Mississippi State Penitentiary has 73 km ².
