Paremoremo is a rural community west of Albany in the area north of Auckland in New Zealand.

Paremoremo was a small community on the Waitemata Harbour, in the following the construction of a wharf at the foot of Attwood Road a European settlement grew. Beginning of the last century was known place for its farms, market gardens and orchards. Passengers and cargo were brought into the city by barge and small ferries.

Today, however, the place is better known as the site of New Zealand's only maximum-security prison. This was the mid-1960s built as Paremoremo Prison Prison and renamed in the 1990s in Auckland. However, the place is still as popular residential area within easy reach of the center of Auckland and only 8 minutes from the growing center of Albany.
