Parent, Quebec

Parent is a former municipality ( Municipalité de village ) in the Mauricie administrative region of the Canadian province of Quebec.

Parent was incorporated on 26 March 2003 in the town of La Tuque and has since formed within the city a Secteur. Parent is on the river Rivière Bazin.

The town was founded in 1910. Parent counted 251 inhabitants in 2006.

Parent is connected to the railway network of VIA Rail Canada.
