Parent-teacher interview

The Parents' Day is a regular way for parents to talk with the class teacher or a specialist teacher of their children on their academic performance, behavior and other related school subjects. This can be done with or without the presence of the children.

Expiration

To this end, each teacher embarks on a 'day in his allocated (class) room where everyone can find it using a spatial plan and receives there one after the other parents. Such an appointment usually lasts for five to fifteen minutes and is only a brief statement of the performance, behavior and other abnormalities. This is not about a one-sided conversation with the teacher. Rather, parents should important information about their children that affect school performance or affect it could tell. Longer calls are usually just under a separate agreement and not the parents' possible (parent interview).

The advantage for parents is that sammtliche teachers are available on one day and not the consultation must be examined individually on different days.

Most parents a written request from the school principal and the students get before a pre-printed schedule with times. The parents share with their children which teachers they would like to speak and in what period this should be about done, that appointments with teachers can be arranged.

In larger schools, a parents' can also take an entire school day or more afternoons. In some schools, this day is associated with an action. Here, their parents, the students accompany parents', are preparing a buffet and donate the proceeds for social or school projects.

Alternatives
