Parmouti

Renutet ( The Nourishing ) designated in the Egyptian calendar, the beginning time of picking and the first month of Schemu period as nourishing month. From the predynastic period until the end of the Middle Kingdom represented Renutet as originally the ninth month of the Sothis calendar the period from early February to early March.

History

Alan Gardiner as well as Richard Anthony Parker suspect Renutet changed shape over the years the calendar story, which is why Renutet shifted to the eighth month at the latest from the New Kingdom.

Importance

Renutet or Renenutet was considered a " mistress of the barn ", " Mistress of the Fertile Country " and " Mistress of the harvest blessing ".
