Parov Stelar

Parov Stelar ( born November 27, 1974 in Linz, Upper Austria, as Marcus Füreder ) is an Austrian DJ and producer in the field of jazz, house, electro and breakbeat. The musical style of his own productions is a mixture of jazz, house and downbeat. Parov Stelar is one of the pioneers of Electro Swing.

Life and work

Füreder completed training for Applied Design at the UFG Linz.

After the first publications under the pseudonym Plasma or his real name in the years 2001 and 2002 Bushido Recordings founded Marcus Füreder 2003 Etage Noir Recordings in Linz his own label, in which he has since published as Parov Stelar. In May 2013 Marcus Füreder announced that he has signed with Universal Music a contract and will in future publish Parov Stelar as well as under their label Iceland Def Jam.
