Partnair

Partnair was a Norwegian charter airline that existed from 1968 to 1989. The owners, brothers Terje and Rolf Thoresen, the company founded in the spring of 1968 as a charter airline for flights mainly innerskandinavische; after a flying accident in 1989 it was dissolved. Incidents

  • On September 8, 1989 Partnair Flight 394 crashed off on his flight from Oslo to Hamburg. All 55 people on board ( 50 passengers and 5 crew ) were killed. The machine, the Convair CV -580 was from the shipping company Wilh. Wilhelmsen chartered and should bring employee of the shipping company to a naming ceremony in Hamburg. The aircraft crashed near the town of Hirtshals off the Danish coast in the Skagerrak. Later investigations of the wreck came to the conclusion that non-approved parts with weak sized strength limitations led to the crash.
