Party of Social Justice

The party of social justice (Russian Партия социальной справедливости / Partija sozialnoj sprawedliwosti ) was a socially conservative political party in Russia that existed from 2002 to 2008.

Party History

The party was considered loyal to the policy of Vladimir Putin and the pro-government United Russia party. It was created in 2002 and took the following year in the elections to the Russian State Duma in the electoral bloc with the Russian Party of Pensioners part. However, they missed the five percent hurdle. At the 2007 elections the party held its first meeting on their own, but could not move back to the State Duma. Due to the continued lack of success the party of 2008, the major party Fair Russia joined, which is also represented in the Russian State Duma.

Chairman

The party chairman was over the entire period of existence of a history professor Alexei Podberjoskin, the candidate already in the presidential elections of 2000, at that time, however, received only 0.13 % of the vote.
