Pascal Yoadimnadji

Pascal Yoadimnadji (* 1950 in Chad; † 23 February 2007 ) was a Chadian politician. From February 2005 until his death, he was prime minister of Chad.

Political career

Yoadimnadji came from the south of the country and was a member of the small ethnic group of Gor. Before he went into politics, he was a lawyer.

In 1996, he was President of the Electoral Commission for the presidential election. In the elections that were criticized for irregularities, the reigning since 1990 Idriss Déby was the winner. Since January 6, 2000, he was the successor of Nagoum Yamassoum President of the Constitutional Court ( Conseil Constitutionel ). On April 17, 2002, he was re-elected unanimously.

In July 2004, he was Minister of Agriculture before President Déby appointed him to succeed the resigned on 3 February 2005 Prime Minister Moussa Faki. Like his predecessors, he belonged to the party Mouvement patriotique du Salut (MPS ).

In July / August 2005, he assured in a letter to Human Rights Watch, the followers of former President Hissène Habré, who still hold important positions to dismiss rule for human rights violations during Habré.

On 21 February 2007 Yoadimnadji was flown to Paris, there to be treated medically. He died two days later of a brain hemorrhage. The official business conducted on the following day, Minister for Infrastructure Adoum Younousmi further, successor in office was the Minister of Spatial Planning, Urban Development and Housing, Delwa Kassiré Koumakoye.
