Paštrik

The Pashtrik (Albanian: also Pashtriku, Serbian: Паштрик, Pastrik ) is a mountain range in the Albanian- Kosovar border area between Kukes, Kruma and Prizren. Its highest elevation also bears this name (Mali i Pashtrikut ) and reaches 1988 m altitude. The mountain range is the southern part of the highlands of Has ( Malësia e Hasit ), the mountains along the border south of Gjakova, and lies mostly in Albania.

The Pashtrik falls in the south and in the north steeply. In between lies above 1000 m, a plateau of up to four kilometers wide, which is only slightly loses the north in height. At the foot of a distinct escarpment on the northern edge is the place Kruma. The southern border of the mountain range is formed by the White Drin, who also crossed the border from Kosovo to Albania, but was in parts jammed in this area to Fierza Lake.

The Mali i Pashtrik is honored by several religion as a sacred site. Catholics and Orthodox celebrate Bektashi there festivals.
