Pat Roach

Patrick " Pat" Roach ( born May 19, 1937 in Birmingham, West Midlands, England, † July 17, 2004 ) was a British wrestler and film actor.

Biography

Pat Roach was 196 cm tall, toned body and a door wide shoulders a giant and therefore got the nickname " Bomber". Under this name he also participated in numerous European Wrestling events.

His film debut was in 1971 in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, in its closing credits, however, he remains unnamed. Since then, Roach was in numerous films, mostly in the role of villains, and superhumanly great warriors, facing the camera. So he never never had in the first three Indiana Jones films and as an opponent of James Bond in Sag. He also spoke in 1976 for the role of Darth Vader in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope before, but it was David Prowse make the role dispute with success. As an actor in a leading role, he appeared in the role of General Kael in the movie Willow.

Parallel to his work on the film had Roach also a gym in Birmingham and always had a good relationship with his fans. With his wife, Doreen Harris, whom he married in 1957, he had a child. As a result of chain smoking, he contracted throat cancer, on which he died at the age of 67 years in 2004.
