Paths of Possession

Paths of Possession is an American melodic death metal band from Tampa, Florida, founded by Randy Butman, Jay Fossen and former Morbid Angel guitarist Richard Brunelle 1999.

History

In 2000 the debut album Legacy appeared in Ashes at the record label Splattergod Records. Three years later, with the same label, a split EP with the originating also from Florida band Dark Faith. In this paper the well-known from his main band Cannibal Corpse singer George Fisher made ​​his debut in Paths of Possession. The band subsequently signed a record deal with Metal Blade Records and was completed by the introduction of Jack Goodwin and Nick Goodyear. With this line- Paths of Possession Promises in Blood took the albums (2005) and The End of the Hour ( 2007) on the Mana Recording Studios by Erik Rutan. The cover art drew each, as with Legacy in Ashes, the Belgian artist Kris Verwimp.

Style

The band refers to their music style as " solid mix of traditional heavy metal with melodic death metal Influences of ". Both the music and George Fisher's vocals have been described in comparison to Cannibal Corpse as " melodic ".
