Patience Cooper
Patience Cooper ( * 1905, † unknown) was an Indian film actress from the 1920s to the 1940s, and one of the first female Indian film stars.
Life
Patience Cooper is Anglo- Indian origin and was probably born in Calcutta. She began as a dancer in man band 's musical comedy and was then in the Bengali society Madan Theatres of early Indian film and theater mogul Framji Jamshedji Madan employed. In her first film, Nala Damayanti, in which the Italians Eugenio de Liguoro directed, she played the lead role of Damayanti. Her bright skin tone and her sharp facial contours made the illumination of her face technically simpler than most pure Indians and a copy of the " Hollywood look " possible. They often appeared in films Jyotish Bannerjees, but also Sisir Bhaduri, JJ Madan and Priyanath Ganguly. Your most film partners were Durgadas Bannerjee and Tulsi Bannerjee. 1923 Cooper played in Patni Pratap two sisters - the first dual role in an Indian film - and 1925 in Kashimiri Sundari mother and daughter. Her most famous film of the 1930s was Zehari Saap (1933 ) by JJ Madan.
Cooper came to 1944 in movies; their subsequent fate is unknown.
