Patience Cooper

Patience Cooper ( * 1905, † unknown) was an Indian film actress from the 1920s to the 1940s, and one of the first female Indian film stars.

Life

Patience Cooper is Anglo- Indian origin and was probably born in Calcutta. She began as a dancer in man band 's musical comedy and was then in the Bengali society Madan Theatres of early Indian film and theater mogul Framji Jamshedji Madan employed. In her first film, Nala Damayanti, in which the Italians Eugenio de Liguoro directed, she played the lead role of Damayanti.
