Main Cathedral of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church

The Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ ( Ukrainian: Патріарший Собор Воскресіння Христового ) is the main Cathedral of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the Kiev - Halych Großerzbistums in Kiev, capital of Ukraine. The church was consecrated on 27 March 2011, when the seat of the Patriarchate was moved to Lviv.

The cathedral is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Dnipro Raion. It is thus one of the few church buildings of Kiev, which is not on the right bank. This should be symbolically expressed that the Greek Catholic Church its catchment area in the whole Ukraine sees, not only in the far west, where it counts the most members. Majority church in Ukraine is the orthodoxy.
