Patrice Halgand

Patrice Halgand ( born March 2, 1974 in Saint- Nazaire ) is a former French cyclist.

Sporting career

Halgand was in 1995 at the French cycling team Festina professional. His first professional victory he celebrated in 1997. He won a stage of the Etoile de Bessèges and was also in the final first. In 2000 he moved to Jean Delatour, where he led the overall standings of the Coupe de France secured, but won no single race for themselves.

A year later he won the Rothaus Regio - Tour. His most successful year he had in 2002 when he won a stage at each of the Dauphiné Libéré and the Tour de France; overall he started seven times in the Tour. From 2004 he drove for the later ProTour team Crédit Agricole. In the Route du Sud, he won a stage in 2005. In 2007 he decided a one stage of the Tour de l' Ain and 2008, the Tour de Wallonie in itself.

Hagland developed a signature line of cycling clothing, testing bikes for a column of Vélo Magazine, and acts as a driver of journalists from L' Équipe in the Tour de France. 2013 started Hagland on several cross-country race in France.
