Patricia Laffan

Patricia Laffan ( born March 19, 1919 in London) is a British actress.

Life and career

Patricia Laffan, born in London in 1919, is the daughter of Arthur Charles Laffan and Elvira Alice Vitali. Patricia was raised and educated in Folkstone and at the French Institute in London. At the prestigious Webber -Douglas Dramatic School, she studied for the stage.

1945 was the actress in Sidney Gilliats romantic drama The Last Fall, her film debut. She played her biggest role in 1951 on the side of Peter Ustinov as Poppaea in the epic film Quo Vadis? directed by Mervyn LeRoy.

In the 1950s, followed by other appearances in Peter Graham Scott's thriller Dangerous job, Thriller in Robert Parrish shot in the dark and in 1956 in Henry Hathaway's psycho- thriller 23 Steps to abyss alongside Van Johnson, Vera Miles and Cecil Parker.

Since the mid-1950s Laffan then played predominantly in British television series.

In 1965, she finally retired from acting.
