Patrick Chesnais

Patrick Chesnais, actually Chenais Patrick ( born March 18, 1947 in La Garenne- Colombes, France) is a French actor.

Biography

Patrick Chesnais attended the Lycée Pierre Corneille in Rouen -. Although it was open to a career as a footballer, he decided, acting at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Rouen and then to study at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique, where in 1968 he graduated. He then played for over 10 years at the theater. In the staged by Jacques Rozier comedy Les shipwrecked de l' île de la Tortue Chesnais 1976 debuted on the big screen. For his role of the director in the directed by Michel Deville drama The Reader, he was honored with the award of the French César Film Awards in 1989 for Best Supporting Actor.

Chesnais is the actress Josiane Stoléru, with whom he has three children together, married. His daughter, Emilie (1984), and his son Ferdinand ( 1986-2009 ), who died in a car accident, was also an actor.
