Patrik Köbele

Patrik Köbele (* 1962 in Weil am Rhein ) is a German politician and leader of the German Communist Party ( DKP).

Life

Patrik Köbele lives in Essen, has two children, became politicized in the youth center movement as a student speaker, later he was a youth representative in a large company and 1989-1994 national chairman of the Socialist German Workers' Youth ( SDAJ ). From 2004 to 2009 he was a member of the Council of the City of Essen. At the 20th Congress of the DKP on 2 March 2013, was elected Chairman of the DKP. Köbele sat down with 91 through to 60 votes against the former party chairman Bettina Jurgensen.
