Pattie Boyd

Patricia Anne " Pattie " Boyd Harrison Clapton ( born March 17, 1944 in Taunton, Somerset, England ) is a former fashion model. In 1966 she married the Beatle George Harrison, after they had met during the filming of Yeah Yeah Yeah. Later, she left him to live with Eric Clapton. The divorce of Harrison was 1977. Two years later, March 27, 1979 married Boyd and Clapton in the Apostolic Assembly of Faith in Christ Church in Tucson (Arizona ). The relationship lasted until 1985, the marriage ended in divorce in 1989.

Pattie Boyd brought the Beatles to the teaching of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in contact, the founder of Transcendental Meditation, in which all four Beatles were instructed with their former women 1967. George Harrison is said to have written for Pattie the Beatles song Something. Eric Clapton devoted her the pieces Layla, Wonderful Tonight, Bell Bottom Blues and Golden Ring.

Was published in 2007 her autobiography Wonderful Tonight. George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me, which was a bestseller in the United States.

Her sister is the former photo model Jenny Boyd.
