Paul Bulcke

Paul Bulcke ( born September 8, 1954 in Roeselare, Belgium) is a Belgian manager since April 2008 and CEO of Nestlé.

Career

Bulcke studied from 1972 to 1976 industrial engineering at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. This is followed by a postgraduate degree in Management at the University of Ghent joined. From 1977 to 1979 he worked as a financial analyst Scott Graphics Int., Belgium. In 1979 he moved to Nestlé where he was until 1980 Head of Marketing Trainees. Then he was sales and marketing director of Nestlé Chile, Ecuador and Peru, which he remained until 1996. As Market Head, he was active in various countries, including Portugal (1996-1998), Czech Republic and Slovakia (1998-2000) and Germany (2000-2004). In 2004 he became vice - director and was responsible for the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. Following the resignation of Peter Brabeck- Letmathe in April 2008 as CEO of Nestlé, he took over his position.

Bulcke was one of six vice-chairmen of the 41st annual meeting of the World Economic Forum Davos 2011 in January 2011.

Bulcke is married and has three children.
