Paul Cremona

Paul Cremona OP ( paints Pietru Pawlu Cremona, born January 25, 1946 in Valletta) is a Maltese priest of the Catholic Church and Archbishop of Malta.

Life

Paul Cremona joined the Congregation of the Dominicans, put the profession on September 29, 1967, the Archbishop of Malta, Michael Gonzi, ordained him a priest on 22 March 1969.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 2 December 2006 for the Archbishop of Malta. The Archbishop Emeritus of Malta, Joseph Mercieca, donated to him on 26 January of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Félix del Blanco Prieto were co-consecrators, Apostolic Nuncio to Malta and Libya, and George Anthony Frendo OP, Auxiliary Bishop of Tirana - Durres. As a motto he chose Hejju t- triq ghall - mulejj ( " Prepare ye the way of the Lord ").

Since 2007 he is Grand Prior of the Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem in Malta.
