The Paul E. Tsongas Arena is a sports and entertainment arena. She was from 1998 to 2010 hosted the home games of the AHL teams Lowell Devils (formerly Lowell Lock Monsters ). The arena in which also plays ice hockey team of the University of Massachusetts Lowell is located, in the possession of the city of Lowell.

History

The arena was built with funds from the city and the university, who each paid $ 4 million. An additional $ 20 million were taken over by the state of Massachusetts, to support especially around the university.

Use

The Tsongas Arena was the venue for the Lowell Devils of the American Hockey League. She also serves the university hockey team as a venue for their home games.

In the arena numerous other events take place, such as music concerts, graduation ceremonies of many high schools from the region and other public events.
