Paul F. Tompkins

Paul F. Tompkins ( born September 12, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American actor, screenwriter, film producer and comedian.

Life and career

Paul F. Tompkins was born the son of a receptionist and a railway worker.

In 1986, he began stand-up comedy at The Comedy Works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he formed one half of a duo with the late Rick Roman. In 1994, he moved to Los Angeles. Through his friend Adam McKay, he learned fellow actor Jay Johnston know and founded the live sketch show The skates.

Tompkins had roles in television series such as Frasier, Weeds - Kleine Deals among neighbors or Pushing Daisies. In 2007, he starred alongside Daniel Day- Lewis in the film drama There Will Be Blood the role of Prescott. In 2009, he starred alongside Matt Damon, Melanie Lynskey and Ann Cusack in biography comedy crime film The Informant! the role of FBI Special Agent Anthony D' Angelo.

Since April 24, 2010 Tompkins is married to fellow actress Janie Haddad Tompkins.
