Paul Healion

Paul Healion ( born June 3, 1978 in Dublin, † August 16 2009 in Ardee, County Louth ) was an Irish rail and road cyclist.

Career

Paul Healion was established in 2000 Irish champion in the time trial. In the 2004 season he was the national track cycling champion in the individual pursuit. The next year he went from September for the team Driving Force Logistics and in 2006 he moved to Murphy & Gunn. There he won a stage and the overall classification at the Ras Mumhan and two stages at the Tour of Ulster. He was also the Stephen Roche Grand Prix successful. In the next season he won back a portion of the Ras Mumhan. Since 2008, drove Healion for the Irish Continental Team Pezula Racing.

He died on 16 August 2009 as a result of a traffic accident.
