Paul Kleinert

Kleinert studied 1854-1857 at the universities of Breslau and Halle, and in 1861 the Deacon in Opole and 1863 teacher at the Friedrich-Wilhelms -Gymnasium in Berlin. In 1864 he became a Privatdozent at the Friedrich- Wilhelms University in 1868 and 1877 associate professor of Old Testament and Practical Theology. He taught even after his retirement until 1918. 1885 / 86 Kleinert was rector of the university.

Kleinert was among the theologians of the compensatory direction. From 1873 to 1891 he served on the consistory 's Brandenburg, 1894, he was appointed to edit the liturgy as Oberkonsistorialrat in the Prussian Evangelical Supreme Ecclesiastical Council. He was also from 1898 to 1912 Ephorus the Protestant Theological Seminary Johanneum.

Paul Kleinert was buried in the old St. Matthew's Cemetery.
