Paula Braend

Paula Braend ( born August 6, 1905 in Starnberg, † October 4, 1989 in Munich; native Paula Nanna Brändlein ) was a German actress.

The daughter of a stockbroker and banker received post-high school training as a dancer and took acting lessons from Magda Lena. Her first engagement was in Vienna in 1939, after which they played at Staatstheater Schwerin, theater Gera and at the Hamburg State Theatre. From 1945 to 1948 she was a member of the ensemble of the Munich Studio Theater. In the following years she worked as a freelancer and has performed in many theaters, especially until 1984 at the Bavarian State Theatre in Munich.

In the film drama riot of hearts she gave in 1944 as a young woman at a party, her film debut. In the home movies of the fifties, the compact actress was often cast as a typical peasant woman from next door. In the sixties, the People's Actress shifted their activities to television and played among others in numerous performances of the comedy barn under the direction of Olf fishermen and in the equally popular series Royal Bavarian District Court, where she had a " Amalie meadow Meier " several appearances. In addition, Paula was Braend, married farmer, also seen in crime series such as The Old Man and Derrick.

It rests in the cemetery in Unterhaching.
