Pauline McLynn
Pauline McLynn (born 1962 in Sligo) is an Irish actress and writer.
Six months after McLynns birth her parents moved Padraig and Sheila with her to Galway, later she studied at Trinity College, Dublin, English and Art History. There she joined a student theater group and pursued a career after graduation as a stage actress. Dermot Morgan discovered in the late 1980s for the comedy show Scrap Saturday on RTÉ Radio 1 in the 1990s, she played with him in Father Ted, for which she received a British Comedy Award in 1996. Later she was, inter alia, also seen in the comedy series Jam & Jerusalem, and Shameless Threesome and in the movies my mother and Gypo The ash. Since the late 1990s McLynn also works as a writer and has published several novels.
