Pauline McLynn

Pauline McLynn (born 1962 in Sligo) is an Irish actress and writer.

Six months after McLynns birth her ​​parents moved Padraig and Sheila with her to Galway, later she studied at Trinity College, Dublin, English and Art History. There she joined a student theater group and pursued a career after graduation as a stage actress. Dermot Morgan discovered in the late 1980s for the comedy show Scrap Saturday on RTÉ Radio 1 in the 1990s, she played with him in Father Ted, for which she received a British Comedy Award in 1996. Later she was, inter alia, also seen in the comedy series Jam & Jerusalem, and Shameless Threesome and in the movies my mother and Gypo The ash.
