Pavel Lyzhyn

Pawel Lyschyn (White Russian Павел Лыжын, English transcription Pavel Lyzhyn, . Born 24 March 1981) is a Belarusian shot putter.

At the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis, he failed to qualify; shortly after he won silver at the Universiade. Also at the 2004 Olympics in Athens was for him prematurely closing; at the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006, however, he made it to the finals and finished tenth.

In 2007 he was European Vice-Champion in the hall, but resigned at the World Championships in Osaka again in qualifying.

His biggest success to date is the fifth place at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. With his personal best of 20.98 meters, he missed only seven bronze and silver just about eleven inches.

Pawel Lyschyn is 1.89 m tall and weighs 110 kg.
