Pavel Malura

Pavel Malura ( born December 24, 1970 in Ostrava ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Malura began playing football at the age of ten years at TJ Vitkovice Svinov. Even at age 19 he ended his career and devoted himself to the coaching profession.

Coaching career

Pavel Malura made ​​his name as coach of the Junior Banik Ostrava from where he led players like Václav Svěrkoš, Michal Papadopulos or Milan Baroš to the first team. This was also the Czech association, Malura took over in 2001 the U16 selection of the country. In the 2003 /04 season he coached the existing out numerous young players Banik Ostrava B- team in the third Czech league MSFL.

In the summer of 2004 Malura got an offer of the Polish first division Pogoń Szczecin, but was released after two opening defeats, a 1-2 against Legia Warsaw and a 0:4 Gornik Zabrze at. Malura took over in the summer of 2005 the second division Viktoria Zizkov with the aim to guide it in the Gambrinus Liga. In April 2006, the team was on a disappointing eighth place, he was relieved of his duties.

The following season he was an assistant to Jiří Plíšek at the 1 FC Slovácka. When he resigned in November 2006, Malura took over the office of the head coach, but could not prevent the descent of the team. He remained at the club with the proviso that immediately bring back to the 1st league. Although with his team he was on the first place in the table after the first round of 2007/ 08, he was released.

In the second half of the second division season 2007/ 08 Malura coached FC Hradec Králové, promotion to the Gambrinus League missed the team just barely. For the 2008/09 season Malura took over as coach at Slovakian first division club FC Nitra, however, was released in late September again.
