The Catholic Pázmány Péter University (Hungarian: Péter Pázmány Katolikus Egyetem, PPKE ) is a Catholic University in Budapest, Esztergom and Piliscsaba (Hungary ), with approximately 9,000 students. Head office and directorship of the Academy is located at the site of the Catholic Faculty in the eighth district of Budapest Józsefváros.
History
The Catholic Pázmány Péter University of Budapest goes back to a 1635 by Cardinal Péter Pázmány in Trnava ( ungar Nagyszombat today Trnava in Slovakia) university founded. Today it is a fully accredited university with five faculties and two independent institutes.
