Pecker Dunne

Pecker Dunne ( born April 1, 1933, Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland, † December 19, 2012 in Killimer, County Clare ) was an Irish folk musician and walking the Pavee.

Born in horse carriage his parents, Irish Traveller from County Wexford, where his father was known as " The Fiddler Dunne ", he was one of Ireland's most renowned banjo players he also played the fiddle, guitar and melodeon organ. The focus of his texts thematized the life and fate of migratory Tinker in which they discriminatory environment, an example of this is his famous lullaby " Tinkers Lullaby". Most recently, he lived in Killimer in County Clare, with his wife and four children who continue the musical tradition.
