Pedro Sernagiotto

Pietro Sernagiotto (actually Pedro Sernagiotto; born November 17, 1908 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, † April 5, 1965 ) was a Brazilian- Italian footballer.

Sernagiotto, son friulianischer emigrants played, as a right winger. Although he built only 1.53 m tall and petite accordingly, he was primarily known for his pinpoint crosses, his strong shots, and for speed and sprint strength. His nickname was " Ministrinho " ( "Little Minister ").

Career

Pietro Sernagiotto moved in 1930 to Italy to Juventus. Due to a lock until he debuted on September 18, 1932 at 2:3 against U.S. Alessandria in Serie A and was used in subsequent years for a regular player in the legendary team of Quinquennio d' Oro. His forthright character won him many friends respect within the team, such as Luis Monti or Luigi Bertolini. Nevertheless, he always had strong competition, with Juve he was replaced in his position on the right wing gradually by Federico Munerati, in the Italian national team him other Italian -born South Americans, such as Anfilogino Guarisi or Enrique Guaita were preferred. For Juve, he completed a total of 60 games, scored 16 goals and it was three Italian championships celebrate.

His only game for Italy, but only one B International Match, Sernagiotto completed on October 22, 1933 at 4:4 against the Hungarian B-team in Vercelli.

In 1934 Pietro Sernagiotto went back to Brazil, where he is still a few years at his hometown club Palestra Italia ( Palmeiras today ) played.

Pietro Sernagiotto died in 1965 at the age of 56 years, very suddenly.
