Location of Pegtymel in northeastern Siberia

The Pegtymel (Russian Пегтымель ) is a river in the Chukchi Autonomous District in northeast Siberia.

It rises in the Paljawaam Mountains ( Паляваамском хреб ѐ т ), which belongs to the highlands of Chukotka. From there, the Pegtymel flows towards west-northwest and intersects the Pegtymel Mountains ( Пегтымельский хреб ѐ т ). Then the river turns to the north-west. He takes on its main tributary Kuwet from the right. After 345 km of Pegtymel reached the East Siberian Sea. The Pegtymel drains an area of ​​17,600 km ².
