Peirce (crater)

Peirce is an impact crater on the moon northeastern front in the plane of the Mare Crisium, north of the crater Picard and south of Swift. The rim is sharply defined and the interior has concentric structures.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the American astronomer Benjamin Peirce.
