Pellinger Berg Tunnel

The tunnel Pellinger Mountain is a 596 -meter-long highway tunnel with two tubes, which is located on the section of the A8 between Perl -Borg and Merzig- Wellingen ( district Merzig- Wadern, Saarland ) is only a few kilometers from the French border.

Erroneously, the tunnel is also called Pellinger tunnel, especially in traffic reports. But there is no place called Pellingen in the immediate area.

Mainly provides the tunnel was completed in 1997 for relief of Ortsdurchfahrten of Tünsdorf and especially the members of the congregation Perl districts Büschdorf and Eft Hellendorf from heavy traffic in the direction of Luxembourg.
