Pembroke Dock

Pembroke Dock ( Welsh: Doc Penfro ) is a city in the south of Pembrokeshire in Wales. It lies north of Pembroke, and has 8,676 inhabitants.

The city was founded in 1814, when there a new shipyard was built on a large number of ships built. The riverside Daugleddau port is now used primarily as a ferry port from which ships sail Rosslare Harbour to Ireland. As in many parts of the county of Pembrokeshire is also the oil industry a major employer.

Attraction of the city is the museum in the Gun Tower, a fortress in the harbor.
