Penarddun

Penarddun ( [ pe'narɗin ] " the fairest ", Welsh: pen " first and foremost, excellent"; arddun "beautiful" ) is in Celtic mythology of Wales, a daughter or sister of Beli Mawrs.

Mythology

In the Mabinogion she is on the one hand as a daughter, but on the other hand referred to as sister Beli Mawrs. Branwen ferch Llyr In the story ( " Branwen, the daughter Llŷrs " ) in the Second Branch of the Mabinogi it is the wife Llŷrs, which she gives birth to the children of Bran, Branwen and Manawydan. Two other sons she has with Euroswydd, the victor over her husband Llyr (after the Welsh Triads " one of the three most exalted prisoners Britain " ), namely Nissyen and Efnisien.
