Penfeld
The mouth of the Penfeld
The Penfeld is a small river in France, which runs in the region of Brittany 's Finistere. It rises in the municipality of Gouesnou, drained and flows generally in a southwesterly direction after 16 kilometers in the city of Brest in the Rade de Brest and thus into the Atlantic Ocean. In its opening section the Penfeld is already influenced by the tide and was used for the construction of port facilities for the naval base of Brest.
