Pentamidine (trade name Pentacarinat ) is an anti-protozoal agent which is indicated in the treatment of leishmaniasis, also the early stage of the West African trypanosomiasis, and Pneumocystis jirovecii in infections with.

Pentamidine has a number of partly considerable side effects.
