Peptide transporter 1 ( PepT1 ) or SLC15A1 ( solute carrier family 15, member 1 ) is a transport protein in the luminal membrane of the epithelial cells in the human intestine. It belongs to the class of SLC transporters and absorbed than symport carrier - with the help of a forward- cell H gradient - oligopeptides (mainly di-and tripeptides ) from the diet.
